Featured Article - 9/11 Memorial Bus

You might have seen the 9/11 Memorial Bus featured on CNN or Associated Press releases throughout the world. Now, the bus's creator, Bruce Gorman of Bremerton, Washington, is putting the bus up for sale, with all proceeds going towards the making of a dual traveling memorial for victims of 9/11 as well as soldiers who lost their lives in Iraq and Afghanistan since September 11, 2001.

The bus, which was present for four days at all four of the 9/11 crash sites commemorating the 5-year anniversary of the attacks, is a retired Navy 1992 International Bus, that was very well maintained by the US Navy. The bus displays all 2,996 of the victims photographs in chronological order with their full names, and where they were at the time of the attacks, the bus also features a very professionally laser engraved (Vietnam type) Memorial (20 Panels) with all the the victims full names, their age, their place of record (where they were from at the time of the attacks, as well as where they were at the time of the attacks. The bus features a very high quality sound system with 10 CD disc changer, and high boost amplifier, and a 6,000 watt power inverter, along with a large generator onboard (installed beneath the rig). The mileage is at 77,000 with very well maintained records, and can drive anywhere.

"I purchased the vehicle in February of 2006 and invested over $30,000 into the project," says Gorman. "I have only made one trip across the USA with the bus after presenting it at all the crash sites, and would like to start the price off at 75,000 or best offer." It is not.

This is an opportunity for the right buyer to be able to travel with this very unique Memorial and present all the faces of 911 in a way that no other memorial can do.

"I would be willing to drive the Memorial Bus to anywhere in the Continental USA with no charge upon buyers purchase," Gorman says.

The traveling memorial, which is due for completion in September 2007, will be 8-inch formatted photographs chronologically placed onto lit weight moving walls, spreading out in a ¼ acre area. You can see this memorial next year on major news stations.

Also, all proceeds go towards the making of the joint 911 and Soldiers killed in Afghanistan and Iraq, which is due for complete in September 2007.
